How Calculations Work
Step 1 — Calculate Notional Position Value
Opening Notional = Margin Capital × Leverage
Binance calculates fees based on the total leveraged position value, not just your initial margin.
Example: 1,000 USDT Margin × 10x Leverage = 10,000 USDT Notional Position.
Step 2 — Determine Traded Crypto Quantity
Quantity = Opening Notional / Entry Price
Calculates how many coins of the base crypto you hold in the trade.
Example: 10,000 USDT / 65,000 Entry = 0.153846 BTC.
Step 3 — Apply BNB Discount Rate
Effective Fee Rate = Base Fee Rate × (1 - BNB Discount %)
Binance gives a 25% fee discount on Spot trades and 10% on USDT-M Futures when paying with BNB.
Example (Futures Taker): 0.04% × (1 - 0.10) = 0.036% Effective Fee Rate.
Step 4 — Calculate Round-Trip Fees
Opening Fee = Opening Notional × Effective Fee Rate
Closing Fee = (Quantity × Exit Price) × Effective Fee Rate
Commissions are levied on both entry and exit transactions.
Example: Opening Fee = 3.60 USDT, Closing Fee ≈ 3.71 USDT. Total = 7.31 USDT.
What This Calculator Does
The Binance Fee Calculator helps traders estimate exact exchange fees when opening and closing spot or futures positions.
It can be used for:
- •Spot trading with 25% BNB fee discount
- •USDT-M Futures trading with 10% BNB discount
- •Leveraged positions (up to 125x)
- •Scalping strategies & break-even calculation
- •Swing trading position sizing
- •Algorithmic and bot fee modeling
Why Fees Matter in Leveraged Trading
Because Binance fees are charged on total leverage position size rather than initial margin, high leverage amplifies fee burden significantly. For instance, using 50x leverage means an overall round-trip fee of 0.08% equates to 4.0% of your initial margin capital.
This calculator ensures you know your exact break-even target price before placing an order.
